Significant changes in employment law are forthcoming!
25.09.2023
You have probably noticed that a more extensive amendment to the Labor Code is being prepared and approved for some time, which is supposed to bring many new changes. The legislative process is perhaps nearing its end, after the draft was approved by the Chamber of Deputies on 12 September 2023.
The amendment introduces significant changes to already established institutes, such as the extension of the employer’s obligation to provide information, the regulation of working hours for employees working on an agreement on work performance or on work activities, stipulating their right to vacation, regulation of the delivery of papers (e.g. notice of termination), or establishing more precise conditions for performance of home-office work.
Though the exact features of the amendment and the discussed changes are not yet known, it can be assumed that the fundamental principles often based also on European regulations will change no more. It is therefore advisable to ready up for the new amendment in time.
